What a difference a month makes in Missouri weather! Many parts of the state have seen five or ten inches of rain this month–that’s well over the average for June. And Scott Truett with the National Weather Service says most every part of the state, especially north of I-70, has benefited. Not only is Missouri catching-up on its average rainfall for June, we’re getting close to our average rainfall for the year. For example, Truett says central Missouri has received about eighteen inches of rain so far this year; the average is nineteen. He’d like to see a little more rain to soak down to the soil’s deepest water sources.
