Researcher praises DNA findings

Calling it the scientific breakthrough of the century is an understatement. That’s what M.C. Sullivan at Kansas City’s Midwest Bioethics Center calls the breaking of the human DNA code. Sullivan doubts we’ll see practical results of the discovery of the body’s “alphabet” during our lifetimes. But eventually, the breakthrough will tell us our chances for developing cancer and heart disease. It will also help doctors identify the underlying genetic causes of such diseases.
