Blues Lose Pellerin, McClennan

June 26, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

It was a busy weekend for the Blues. On Friday they lost two players. Goaltender Jamie McClennan and forward Scott Pellerin were both taken by the Minnesota Wild in the expansion draft. Saturday the Blues selected University of Minnesota center Jeff Taffe (TAYF) with their top draft pick. The Blues had Taffe ranked among the top 14 prospects, and got him with the 30th pick. Taffe’s speed and puckhandling are considered his biggest strenghs. The club took five forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender with its 9 picks over the weekend.
