Deputies to be buried

June 24, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri law enforcement this weekend bury two murdered sheriff department employees. Police are expected from all over the state as well as surrounding states. Observances planned for Leon Egley today in Huntsville and Jason Acton tomorrow in Columbia. Moberly police spokesman Dennis Cupps says several of his officers have volunteered to relieve Randolph County’s dispatchers during the funerals so all department employees can be there. Egley and Acton were killed Thursday during an attempted jailbreak. Two people have been charged with murder.
