Missouri Amateur Moves to Match Play

June 23, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The top 32 qualifiers from two days of stroke play are doing battle in match play today at the Missouri Amateur. The tournament’s low scorer from day one has been disqualified on a technicality. Chris Marshall, of Kansas University, did not have an active handicap as of May 19th, the entry deadline. Defending champion Skip Berkmeyer of Ballwin wound up as the medalist with a two day total of 6-under 138. Two rounds today will pare the field to 8, and two more rounds tomorrow will leave just two players for a 36-hole final on Sunday.
