June 22, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Police have arrested two people in the deaths of a pair of Randolph County jail employees. Michael Tisius, 19, and Tracie Bulington, 26, were arrested this morning. Investigators say they killed the two men around 12:30 this morning in an attempt to free a jail inmate. They were arrested around 9:30 in Doniphan County, Kansas, just across the state line from St. Joseph. Police believe they found the murder weapon along Highway 36, near the Macon-Linn County borders. The suspects have waived extradition. Dead are Jail supervisor Leon Egley, 33, and Jason Acton, 36, who had only worked at the jail for 2 months.
