Mo officials handle school prayer ruling

Not much fallout expected from this week’s U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down organized prayer before ball games. Until this week, Missouri’s high schools decided individually whether to hold prayers before their ball games. The Missouri State High School Activities Association says that was a local decision to make outside of its own post-season tournaments. Executive Director Becky Oakes says she would occasionally turn down special requests for moments of silence before tournament games for students who had just died.
