A Kansan shot the lowest score on day one of the Missouri Amateur. Chris Marshall, who plays for the University of Kansas, carded a 6-under par 66 at Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City Wednesday. The Amateur was pushed back one day because of rain. That means that after today’s round of stroke play, only the top 32 golfers will advance to match play, rather than the top 64. The 36-hole final is Sunday. Springfield’s Antonio Serrano shot 67, as five golfers broke 70. Former Royals David Howard shot 75, and Missouri quarterback Kirk Farmer shot 76.
