Tornadoes cut a path of minor damage through 3 counties east of Kansas City last night. Funnel clouds were reported yesterday in Lafayette, Saline, and Carroll Counties. Lafayette County had some trees and power lines down and a single railroad car overturned. At least one tornado touched down briefly near Lexington. County 9-1-1 Director Jim Angerer says they escaped the worst of it. The first day of summer brought reports of flash flooding in other parts of the state. Some homes evacuated in Neosho, a campground flooded in Lowry City, and a foot of water over some roads in Warrenton.
