The Royals’ season of amazing rallies continues. Kansas City scored three times in the ninth to beat Anaheim 8-6. Mike Sweeney singled home the tying run, and Joe Randa singled home the winner, both off Angels closer Troy Percival. Sweeney had four hits and 3 RBI, while Randa drove in two runs with three base hits. Carlos Beltran was 3 for 4 and scored three times. The Royals have now won 17 times in their final at-bat. Royals starter Jeff Suppan allowed six runs in six innings, and gave up two homers, running his league-high total to 22. Jose Santiago got the win in relief, and Ricky Bottalico pitched the ninth for his first save since May 26th. Mac Suzuki will start against the Angels tonight.
