The Royals’ team ERA is 5.90, worst in the majors and much higher than last year’s 5.35, which was the worst in team history. Jeff Suppan goes to the mound tonight. He is 2-5 with a 5.10 ERA, and has allowed a league-high 20 home runs. Brian Cooper will pitch for Anaheim. He’s 2-2 with a 3.18 ERA.
