Missouri farmers air gripes

Missouri’s two U.S. Senators were in Columbia Monday to meet with agricultural leaders and discuss some of the tough times being experienced by farmers. Senator Bond says Congress has already taken some steps to help farmers endure the hardships. He estimates the government has provided 32 billion dollars in assistance. Senator Ashcroft says low rainfall levels and high fuel costs are adding to farmer’s troubles.
