Congressman Ike Skelton has written a letter to President Clinton asking for a formal investigation of gasoline prices in Missouri. He is asking the Federal Trade Commission to include Missouri with the federal investigation of gas prices in Illinois and Wisconsin. Skelton says Missouri’s high gas prices are a threat to the state economy, but especially to farmers and commuters. He’s also worried about the effect on this summer’s tourism season.
