Capitol gets terrorist protection

Jefferson City is getting a Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Team. The city’s Emergency Management Director, Susan Green, says the 40-member squad will protect government buildings and employees from terrorist attacks. Fort Leonard Wood has a response team, but Green says it’s too far away for rapid responses. A national analysis of possible terrorist targets puts state government buildings high on the list.
