Wallace Fades to Tenth at Pocono

June 19, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

St. Louisan Rusty Wallace led most of the way, but faded at the end of today’s Pocono 500. Wallace started on the pole, and led 107 of 200 laps, more than any other driver. He finished tenth. Jeremy Mayfield nudged Dale Earnhardt from behind in the final turn and slipped past him to win the race. Earnhardt wound up fourth.
