A’s Hand Royals Worst Loss Ever

June 19, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals have never lost by a bigger margin than they did Sunday. They watched the A’s run around the bases all afternoon on their way to a 21-3 win at Kauffman Stadium. Royals’ starter Jeff D’Amico allowed eight runs in two innings, and relievers Jose Santiago, Miguel Batista, and Dan Murray each allowed four earned runs. The Royals have lost six of their last seven, all at home, to drop 10 and 1/2 games behind Chicago. Kansas City is off today before playing in Anaheim.
