Westminster College Professor Peter Kim isn’t holding his breath as North and South Korea promise closer ties. Kim figures it will take years for the countries to become re-unified–but he says its a start. He says the two countries will have to co-operate on North Korea’s devastating poverty and on reuniting families that have been divided since 1945. Kim is actually an old friend of the South Korean President. He invited Kim Dae-jung to speak at Westminster in the 1970’s.
