The search has already started for money to pay off the $2 billion dollars in road building bonds authorized by the legislature this year. Senate Minority Leader Steve Ehlmann says the fuel tax is likely to remain the primary source for road-building money for some time. Lawmakers are also likely to draw more money out of the general fund and away from other needed projects.
