Gambling attorney pleads

June 13, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

A St. Louis attorney for area gambling companies has pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges. Michael Lazaroff has admitted to keeping hundreds of thousands of dollars in income secret from his law partners. His attorney, Art Margulis says he’s also pleaded guilty to an election violation. In addition to hiding $500,000 in income, court papers indicate Lazaroff also funneled several hundred thousand dollars in secret gifts to his clients by faking expenses. He could get 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced September 1.
