Rain rain, don’t go away

June 12, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri is basking in its first “wet” week in a long long time. Not only did several parts of the state see more than an inch of rain over the weekend, forecasters are calling for showers through Wednesday. With some luck, National Weather Service Meteorologist Dale Bechtold says the rain could even last into Thursday or Friday. Only southeast Missouri stayed dry over the weekend–other parts of the state averaged a half-inch of rain. Missouri is 15 inches behind its usual rainfall over the last year or so.
