Attorney General spokesman Scott Holste is warning about a large, illegal pyramid. Holste says the Women’s Empowerment Network began in Canada, moved to the states and has snared perhaps thousands in the Kansas City area. It asks for a $5,000 entry fee with promises of riches upon recruitment of others. The network is structured as a four-course dinner party requiring the appetizer entry fee of 5 grand before moving to the salad level, then the entree and finally cashing out at the dessert level.
