Nixon blasts faxers

The Missouri Attorney General has filed a lawsuit aimed at dealing with the increasing problem of junk faxes. Jay Nixon filed the suit in federal district court in St. Louis. It targets Dallas-based American Blast Fax Inc., which provides direct fax advertising into more than 100-thousand machines in St. Louis and eastern Missouri. Nixon says there could be fines associated with the practice–but he’s quick to point out the real objective behind the lawsuit is to get the unsolicited faxers to stop what they’re doing.
