Maverick cow killed

June 9, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

An escaped cow led Springfield police on a chase through parts of the city overnight. Corporal Andrew Barksdale says the animal had to be shot. A summons will be issued to the owners for allowing a large animal to run free. This cow may have been the lone animal still missing from the big escape two days ago at the Southwest Regional Stockyards in Springfield.
