Cops uncover cache of collectibles

June 9, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

What started as an investigation of recent thefts at Department of Revenue offices has become a major recovery of stolen collectibles. Springfield police searched a home of someone they believe has been selling stolen license plates. During that search police found the stickers and many collectible items. Authorities believe they can link the stolen baseball cards, cabbage patch dolls, and Precious Moments figurines to burglaries in several southwest Missouri counties going back ten years.
