Chiefs’ Szott Seeking Trade

June 9, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The Chiefs say they have given guard Dave Szott permission to seek a trade to another team, but so far, Szott has not found any takers. Szott is scheduled to make 2.2-million dollars in the final year of a five year deal, and the Chiefs are content to keep him at that price. Szott wants to move closer to his New Jersey home, where his son can attend a school that specializes in working with children who have cerebral palsy. However, most teams are not willing to take on Szott’s contract.
