The Cardinals scored two runs in the first and two in the second, with the help of a ball Jermaine Dye lost in the lights, to take a 4-0 lead. The Royals scratched Kile for a run in the 6th. They scored a run in the ninth and brought the tying run to the plate, but Kile induced a game-ending double play from Greg Zaun. both the Cards and Royals are off today.
