Royals’ Top Pick Signs

June 7, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

One of the top issues in the baseball draft these days is a player’s signability. On that front at least, the Royals appear to have spent their top pick wisely. The Royals have already agreed to terms with lefthander Mike Stodolka, who was the fourth overall pick in the draft. Stodolka won all ten of his starts this year as a high school senior, allowing 24 hits in 52 innings, with 27 walks and 111 strikouts.
