Cardinal pitcher Garrett Stephenson is the National League’s pitcher of the month for May. Stephenson was 5-0 in May, with a 1.42 ERA, as he ran his record to 8-0 before losing his first start in June. He threw back-to-back complete games a couple weeks ago. Since joining the Cardinals last summer, he is 14-4.Pitcher Scott Radinsky is headed to California to get a second opinion on his sore elbow from Dr. Frank Jobe. Radinsky made his first appearance of the season last week, and threw just three pitches before being lifted and going back on the disabled list.
