If St. Joseph residents have to put up with putrid water…they don’t want to pay more for it. They’re complaining about a proposed 50-percent rate increase that attorney Shannon Cook will be arguing against next week.Cook works for Missouri’s Office of Public Counsel. She’ll try to convince the Public Service Commission next week to scale back the proposed increase. A decision is expected sometime in August or September for the 35-thousand households affected.
