Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Talent has unveiled “Missouri Exile” — a program aimed at toughening penalties against those using guns during the commission of their crimes. The St. Louis area Congressman is calling for minimum mandatory prison sentences for a variety of gun-related offenses. Talent says this initiative has a lot of support from police and other branches of law enforcement.
