Rafael Palmeiro homered and drove in three runs as the Rangers beat the Royals 5-3. The Rangers scored three times in the seventh against reliever Jose Santiago. Royals starter Mac Suzuki allowed just two runs, on home runs by Palmeiro and David Segui. But Santiago allowed three runs on four hits in the 7th. Carlos Beltran drove in all three runs for Kansas City. The Rangers won two out of three in the series. The Royals open a three game series with Anaheim tonight at Kauffman Stadium. Chris Fussell will pitch for the Royals. Seth Etherton will make his major league debut on the mound for the Angels.
