Mizzou, SEMO Hope for Bids

May 22, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri and Southeast Missouri state are holding onto slim hopes that they will receive at-large bids to the 64-team NCAA baseball tournament when the field is announced today. Mizzou was eliminated from the Big 12 Tournament on Friday, with a 4-3 loss to Nebraska. The Tigers have a record of 33-24. Last year, Mizzou did not receive a bid despite winning 37 games, but this year the Tigers have more Division one victories. Southeast Missouri State lost to Middle Tennessee 11-4 in the title game of the Ohio Valley Conference Saturday. SEMO finished with a 37-17 record.
