Central Missouri State will play in the Division II baseball championships, for the sixth time in the last seven years. The Mules came out of the loser’s bracket to beat Rockhurst twice Saturday and win the Central regional. CMSU won the first game 9-6, and then wrapped up the regional title with a 9-1 win in game two. The D-II championships start Saturday in Montgomery, Alabama. The Mules, now 49-11, will play Sunday against Slippery Rock, which is 36-12. Central Missouri State won the national championship in 1994.
