Mizzou athletic director Mike Alden is getting a raise, and some other perks. Alden’s annual salary is going up $32,500 to an even $200,000 a year. In addition, Alden will receive an annuity of $50,000 per year over the remaining four years of his contract. The university also announced that Alden will take over responsibility for management of the Hearnes Center. This has been a sore spot for Mizzou athletic teams for years, because the Hearnes was controlled by a separate staff, and teams often ran into scheduling conflicts. Alden will now have the final say in booking the Hearnes Center.
