Ashcroft Urges Caution on China Trade Deal

Congress is moving closer to approving passage of permanent normal trade relations with China. The House of Representatives could vote on the deal as early as next week and the Senate vote could come next month. Senator John Ashcroft is urging caution as lawmakers take on this agreement. He says it is imperative that a mechanism be in place to ensure that China makes good on any promises regarding trade with the U.S.
