The list of the nation’s top 500 women-owned companies includes three from the St. Louis area. Working Women Magazine lists Phoenix, Textile of Earth City, which makes materials for the health-care industry; Rose International of Chesterfield, a software consulting firm; and Build-a-Bear Workshop, which runs stores in shopping malls where kids make their own stuffed animals.
