Central Missouri State has won the MIAA baseball title for the sixth time in seven years. The Mules needed a doubleheader sweep of Washburn Sunday to win the crown, and came through. CMSU won the opener 8-1, then took the title game 6-5. Nathan Lipowicz drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 7th inning. The Mules will host the NCAA division-II central regional next weekend. Rockhurst University will come to Warrensburg as the defending regional champ.
