School bus drivers are striking in four St. Louis-area districts. The strike left about 25-hundred students without rides to classes in Kirkwood, Webster Groves, and Bayless School districts in St. Louis County yesterday. The drivers also are stopping service in the county’s special school district. About half of the district’s 67-hundred students ride buses. Drivers want starting salaries to go up to ten dollars an hour. They’re now 8-90. Their union has filed an unfair labor practices complaint against the bus company, Laidlaw Transportation.
