Driving over the foot of a policeman in Festus last year costs a man seven years in prison. A judge has sentenced Kevin Shoemaker for assault. Police say Shoemaker was driving a stolen car when he was stopped, and was trying to escape when he ran over the officer’s foot, and almost struck another officer. The other officer shot Shoemaker in the arm, stopping the incident.
