Serious crime drops in our biggest city again…FBI figures say burglary is down 18 percent; murder down almost 15 percent; rape down almost 14 percent. The figures compare 1999 with 19-98. But the FBI says the crime rate dropped more slowly in Kansas City than several other big cities. That’s why Kansas City has the fourth highest per-capita crime rate in the country. St. Louis is number one.
