Government Bids Thrown Out

A 1.4-million dollar contract awarded by the St. Louis County government without competitive bids has been held to be in-valid. The state Supreme Court has refused to overturn a lower court ruling. But it’s too late to do much about it. The emergency dispatching system the county has bought from a Montana company has been installed and paid for. However the county counselor says any upgrades or adjustments in the system will be bid.
