Some call it the most important piece of farm legislation this session in Jefferson City. Others say it’s one of the most important agriculture bills in years. Representative Marilyn Williams of Dudley sponsors the measure that would create the Missouri “Producer’s Choice” marketing program and sets aside nearly $4-Million to market Missouri farm products. It also would allocate $5-Million a year over the next five years in Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits for neighborhood agriculture cooperatives.
