The Sporting News has taken the Sporting News to court..and the Sporting News has won. The Sporting News, the long-time St.Louis-based publication, had sued the Las Vegas Sporting News. A federal appeals court says the St. Louis publication has a trademark on the name and has ordered the Las Vegas publication to find a new namne.
