Mountain Ducks’ Opener Tonight

May 4, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Baseball is back in Ozark, Missouri tonight, as the Ozark Mountain Ducks begin their second season. The Ducks host the Lafayette Bayou Bullfrogs in their season opener. Last year the Ducks finished fifth in the independent Texas-Louisiana League, with a record of 32-50. Manager Barry Jones returns for a second season, but most of his roster does not. Only five players are back with the Ducks. Jones says this year’s team includes fewer young players, and more guys with professional experience.
