Turkeys are leaving Missouri’s woods beak-down and feet-up in numbers that could set a new record. The conservation department says the first week of spring turkey season has seen 30-thousand-440 turkeys killed. That’s about 51-hundred more than in the first week last year. The department reports no accidents in the first week. The worst places to be wild turkeys last week were Franklin, Texas and Howell counties.
