The title to an abandoned historic cemetery in St. Louis County has been ordered transferred to the county…which will make agreements with the National Guard and a charitable group to restore the place. The cemetery has about 30-thousand graves, including those of area civil rights leaders, former slaves, and Buffalo soldiers–black soldiers who rode with the cavalry. The cemetery had been under a trusteeship. But a judge says it has not been taken care of. The state had sued the trustee last summer.
