One of the biggest weapons in the Cardinal lineup will be missing tonight when they host the Pittsburgh Pirates. 3rd baseman Fernando Tatis is going on the disabled list with a strained groin. Tatis leads the league in RBI and is 4th in hitting at .375. He is expcted to miss about three weeks. Craig Paquette will get most of the work at third in his absence. Rookie Rick Ankiel starts tonight against Pittsburgh. Ankiel is 3-1 with a 2.16 ERA. Jason Schmidt, 0-2 with a 7.50 ERA, starts for the Pirates.
