TWA getaway fares going away

Not enough people have wanted to make getaway trips for TWA, so it’s cancelling the vacation package promotion after this month. TWA, based in St. Louis, says it will continue offering the vacation packages only in Europe, and only through one of its subsidiaries in England, where business is better. A spokesman says the Getaway vacations package has not been a big money-loser, but it has not been a money-maker…so the airline hopes to focus on something more profitable.
