When the Royals left Kansas City for their recent nine-game road trip, they were in a virtual tie with Cleveland for first place. They lost all nine games on that trip to fall into fourth. Now they are hoping they can find some answers during an 11-game homestand. Tampa Bay visits Kauffman Stadium for two games starting tonight. Mac Suzuki will start for Kansas City against the Devil Rays’ Steve Trachsel. Both pitchers have ERA’s over 5.30. The Devil Rays won 8 of 10 from the Royals last year. The Royals are 6-1 at home this year.
