MU Golfer Moses Wins Big 12

April 24, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

University of Missouri golfer Amelia Moses is the first Tiger ever to win an individual conference title. Moses shot six over par over the weekend, to win the Big 12 women’s golf tournament by one stroke. As a team, Mizzou finished tied for 4th, matching its best finish ever. The victory by Moses has larger historical significance. Moses is the first black woman golfer in the combined histories of the Big 12, Big 8, and Southwest conferences to win an individual title.
